Jog-A-Thon

Gunner's school had a Jog A Thon fundraiser this past thursday!
It actually started a few weeks ago, when the kids were able to ask friends and family for either a "flat pledge" or a "pledge per lap" donation. Any child that had 5 or more pledges, which Gunner had over 10 pledges, was able to have a JogAThon t-shirt. This was a great fundraiser because 100% of the money goes to the kids! The school even had sponsers there, giving the participating kids free stuff, like Jamba Juice gave free smoothies, Costco gave free bananas etc...
The gun was fired off at 5:30pm and the kids could walk, run, or jog for 1 hour.

Each grade was assigned a colored flag at different spots around the field. As the kids completed a lap, they would stop at their designated flag and get a number punched on their card.

Gunner was AWESOME!!! I am sure he was one of the kids that had the most laps. It seemed that he would be with different kids everytime he came around or he was just running really fast by himself. (Maybe he will be a Marathon runner some day)

We had a really great time cheering for Gunner everytime he would run past us!

For those of you that made pledges...........get out the check book, Gunner ran....24....laps!!
